The Organizing Committee of ICMarkTech’26 invites proposals for Special Sessions to be included in the 8th International Conference on Marketing and Technologies, which will take place at the Faculty of Entrepreneurship, Business Engineering and Management, National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest, in Bucharest, Romania, from December 5 to 7, 2026.
Special Sessions provide an opportunity to explore emerging, interdisciplinary, or strategically relevant topics within the broad scope of marketing and technology. They are designed to foster focused discussion, promote collaboration among researchers and practitioners, and stimulate innovative research directions.
Objectives of Special Sessions
Special Sessions aim to:
Address cutting-edge research themes not fully covered by the main conference tracks;
Encourage interdisciplinary dialogue between marketing, technology, data science, and related domains;
Create communities of expertise around emerging or high-impact topics;
Strengthen collaboration between academia and industry.
Submission Guidelines
Proposals for Special Sessions must include:
- Session Title
- Session Description (300–500 words), clearly outlining the relevance, objectives, and expected contributions;
- List of Topics covered within the session;
- Names, affiliations, and short bios of the Session Chair(s);
- Preliminary list of potential contributors (if available).
Each Special Session should aim to include at least 4 accepted papers.
All papers submitted to Special Sessions must follow the same submission and review process as regular conference papers and will undergo a rigorous peer-review process.
Responsibilities of Special Session Chairs
Accepted Session Chairs will be responsible for:
Promoting the Special Session;
Coordinating paper submissions;
Assisting in the review process;
Moderating the session during the conference.
