ICMarkTech 2025 proudly confirms Professor Dr. Marianna Sigala (Professor of Marketing, University of Newcastle, Australia) as a featured editor in the “Meeting with Editors” session.
An internationally recognised authority in tourism marketing, service experience management, hospitality innovation, and digital transformation, Prof. Sigala serves as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Hospitality & Tourism Management and Co-Editor of the Journal of Service Theory & Practice. In this editors’ dialogue, she will share practical guidance on positioning manuscripts, navigating peer review, strengthening theoretical contribution, and aligning methods and ethics for successful publication—particularly across tourism, hospitality, and service management outlets.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Prof. Dr. Marianna Sigala is Professor of Marketing at the Newcastle Business School, University of Newcastle (Australia). She holds a PhD and MSc (Distinction) in Marketing from the University of Surrey (UK) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Analysis from Lancaster University.
Her career spans posts at the University of South Australia (Professor & Centre Director), Sheffield Hallam University, the University of Piraeus, and the University of the Aegean. A leading advocate of case-based and work-integrated learning, she founded the Journal of Hospitality & Tourism Cases and has led EU- and nationally funded projects with policy and industry impact..
