Prof. Dr. Amalia Georgescu is a Professor at the Gheorghe Asachi Technical University of Iași and Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Iași. With over 20 years of international experience in education, entrepreneurship, and digital transformation, she specialises in communication, public speaking, event and project management, and digitalisation for SMEs. A certified trainer and entrepreneur, she is also an active speaker, with extensive experience in academic and business environments.

Amalia Georgescu holds a PhD in Engineering from Gheorghe Asachi Technical University of Iași, where she also completed her Master’s degree in Product Design and Marketing, and her Bachelor’s degree in Economics with a specialisation in Marketing. With more than two decades of international professional experience, she has developed expertise in communication, entrepreneurial education, digitalisation for SMEs, and public speaking. She has delivered accredited training programmes in entrepreneurship, business management, marketing, human resources, and mentoring, both in academic settings and across numerous European-funded projects. In parallel with her academic career, she has successfully founded and managed two businesses, and currently serves as the Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Iași. She has published 19 academic works and participated in numerous conferences and national development programmes, including acting as trainer and expert coordinator in entrepreneurship for major EU-funded initiatives in Romania.
