Prof. Dr. Marc K. Peter is a Professor at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Western Switzerland (HES-SO) and the author of The Digital Transformation Canvas (FT Publishing/Pearson, 2024). Formerly General Manager and COO of LexisNexis Pacific, he led a six-year, organisation-wide digital transformation involving 380 employees, and his international career includes senior roles at LexisNexis (UK/Ireland and Asia-Pacific), E*TRADE Australia, and eBay International. He serves as Adjunct Professor at Charles Sturt University and teaches in executive programmes at Rochester-Bern (University of Rochester NY and University of Bern) and the University of Basel. Marc K. Peter holds a Doctorate in Business Administration from Charles Sturt University (Australia), an Executive MBA from the Bern University of Applied Sciences, Babson College (USA) and PKU (China), and a Master of Marketing from the University of Basel. He also studied corporate finance at UC Berkeley and electronic business engineering at the Bern University of Applied Sciences. He has completed executive programmes at Columbia University, Harvard Business School, MIT, and Stanford University. Currently, he serves as Professor and Head of the Competence Centre for Digital Transformation at the FHNW School of Business in Olten, Switzerland. He is also a Visiting Professor or Lecturer at several institutions, including the University of Basel, University of Freiburg, Berne University of Applied Sciences, and Charles Sturt University. Before joining FHNW, he held leadership roles in strategy, technology, marketing, and business development at eBay International, E*TRADE Australia, LexisNexis, and PostFinance. At LexisNexis Pacific, he led a six-year digital transformation programme involving 380 employees and the launch of new digital ventures. Marc is a Fellow of the British Computer Society and the Chartered Institute of Marketing and contributes to advisory boards such as the Davos Digital Forum, Swiss Cyber Security Days, Smart Regio Basel, and ICMarkTech.
