Carlos Melo Brito
Prof. Dr. Carlos Melo Brito is Associate Professor with Habilitation at the Faculty of Economics, University of Porto, and a member of the ICMarkTech 2025 Advisory Committee. He teaches marketing and business strategy at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and directs postgraduate and executive training programmes at Porto Business School. A recognised opinion leader in marketing, innovation, and entrepreneurship, he has held prominent roles in academia, industry, and public institutions, and is a frequent keynote speaker and media contributor.

PERSONAL INFO
Carlos Melo Brito earned his PhD in Marketing from Lancaster University (UK), holds an MBA from Nova School of Business and Economics, and a degree in Economics from the University of Porto, where he graduated top of his class, receiving the Eng.º António de Almeida Foundation Award.
Between 2011 and 2018, he served as Pro-Rector for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the University of Porto and Director of UPTEC – Science and Technology Park of the University of Porto. He is currently President of the Porto Wine Observatory, Vice-President of the Portuguese Management Association, Board Member of APCER Brasil, and member of the advisory boards of COTEC Portugal, SEDES, INOV.ORG, APCER, Sigma, and Essência Completa. He also serves on the High Council of FC Porto. His professional experience combines academia, consultancy, and executive education, with collaborations across marketing, strategy, and organisational development in both national and international contexts.
